Porirua Careers Expo 2025
This year's Careers Expo date has been set – it's happening on Tuesday 13 May at Te Rauparaha Arena.
There'll be more info about the event in early 2025.
Casting Call
Do you aspire to be an influencer? Is a career in social media your calling? We have an opportunity for you!
We're looking for Porirua-based rangatahi aged 15-19 to help spread the word about the 2025 Porirua Careers Expo on 15 May.
Could this be you, or someone you know?
There are two different opportunities.
- Take part in a video shoot (up to one day).
- You must be engaging and confident to speak to the camera and be able to put our script into your own words.
- Video will be used on social media channels and on our website in April and May advertising the expo.
- Two successful rangatahi will receive North City vouchers to the value of $200.
Keen? Create a short intro video of yourself and send the completed video link, your name, age and contact details to [email protected] by Friday 7 March.
- Take part in a 30-minute photo shoot.
- You must be confident, happy to pose and work it for the camera.
- Photos will be used in printed posters and social media channels and on our website in April and May advertising the expo.
- Each of the successful models will receive a $25 North City voucher and their photos.

FAQs
Catch the train to Porirua and either walk or ride an e-scooter around the harbour pathway to the venue.
There are also nearby public bus stops on Norrie St and Lyttelton Ave.
Parking
Available on surrounding streets such as Wi Neera Dr or you can leave your car at the railway station and take the short walk to Te Rauparaha Park.
There are accessible carparks available on a first come, first serve basis, please display your mobility parking permit, located in the Te Rauparaha Arena car park.
For those driving there, Te Rauparaha Arena has free three-hour car parking available.
On street parking in Porirua City Centre is free at the weekend.
