Jasmine Taankink - Housing Action Porirua

My principal place of residence is in the Eastern/Pāuatahanui ki te uunga mai o te ra Ward area.

I'm a lifelong resident of Eastern Porirua, mum, student, union organiser and community activist. As a founding member of Housing Action Porirua my focus will be on the regeneration plans for our area. I'm running for Council to ensure no one is left behind.

As a partner in the Porirua Development the Council will make important decisions. We need strong people at the table to ensure the regeneration will have a positive impact on the lives of all existing residents and generations to come.

Our people, languages, cultural spaces and wāhi tapu must be protected and honoured.

Our whānau need genuinely affordable homes, good local schools, liveable wages and disability access. In my day job I represent members of our community fighting for a fair deal at work. On the Council I will promote a fair city for all.
