  • Thursday 12 September, 7pm, Papakowhai School hall:
    Hosted by Aotea Residents Association this Eastern Ward and Mayoral candidates session will start immediately after the Association's AGM (running for the first 10 minutes). 

  • Monday 16 September, 7pm-9pm, Pukerua Bay Hall, Rawhiti Road:
    Hosted by Pukerua Bay Residents Association with Mayoral candidates, Northern Ward candidates and GWRC candidates.

  • Tuesday 17 September, 5.30pm-7.30pm, Porirua Mayoral Debate, Whitireia Campus, 3 Wi Neera Drive:
    Hosted by Porirua Chamber of Commerce in association with Whitireia and The Dominion Post. All six Mayoral candidates will debate the key issues with an adjudicator. Space is limited for this free event so pre-register at Check the Facebook event for the questions that will be debated.

  • Thursday 19 September, 7pm-9pm, North Porirua Baptist Church, Whitby:
    Hosted by Whitby Residents Association with Mayoral candidates, Northern Ward candidates and GWRC candidates.
  • Tuesday 24 September, 7pm-9pm, Titahi Bay School, Kura St:
    Hosted by Titahi Bay Community Group with Mayoral candidates and Western Ward candidates.

  • Wednesday 25 September, 5.30pm-7pm, Pacific Islanders Presbyterian Church, 207 Champion Street, Cannons Creek:
    Hosted by the Living Wage Movement, for all Mayoral and Council candidates to celebrate the steps Council has taken and call on candidates to commit to extending the Living Wage to contracted workers.

  • Thursday 26 September, 7pm-9pm, Mana Cruising Club:
    Hosted by Paremata Residents Association with Mayoral candidates, Northern Ward candidates and GWRC candidates for this area.

  • Monday 30 September, 6pm-7.50pm, Natone Park School Hall: 
    Hosted by Waitangirua Village Community with Mayoral, Eastern Ward, GWRC and CCDHB candidates.

  • Tuesday 1 October, 6pm-8pm, Freedom Church, 174 Bedford Street, Cannons Creek:
    Hosted by Creeksiders/Ascot with Mayoral candidates and Eastern Ward candidates. Bring a plate and a mate and your burning questions to this fun event. The evening will include an intro from candidates and a lucky dip of quickfire questions with yes/no answers.

First time voter?

Te Ropu Tiaki Rangatahi are holding an event for 18-24 year old voters based around a tag football tournament. This event aims to give you information about the elections and a chance to meet the candidates, while having some fun too.
