Porirua's most central ward encompasses the communities of Titahi Bay, Takapūwāhia, Rangituhi, Kenepuru, Elsdon and Porirua City Centre.

The ward is mostly urban, and has a population of 10,800.

If you live in the Western Ward, you will be voting for two Councillors at this year's 2019 Local Elections.
