Three years ago I campaigned on future proofing Porirua against the climate crisis, protecting our harbour, investing in core infrastructure, and making PCC a Living Wage council. I have fought hard for these priorities, and I'm proud of what we have achieved this term.
We delivered a long-term climate strategy, and doubled our investment in flood resilience. We halved the length of time to complete our harbour protection planting project. We boosted infrastructure investment, turning the ship around on decades of underinvestment. We backed Porirua's workers and became a Living Wage council.
I'm asking for your support so I can continue to deliver. My main priorities are: Deliver on our plan to future proof Porirua against the climate crisis; Continue to focus investment into core infrastructure; Ramp up protection and restoration of our harbour; Invest in safer streets and village environments.
