Study here

We think Porirua City is a great place to learn and study – from early childhood through to tertiary education.

Te Wānanga o Aotearoa and Whitireia New Zealand are both based here offering a wide range of tertiary courses to set you up in the career of your choice.

We also have five secondary schools, two intermediate schools, 28 primary schools, and a huge range of early childhood centres including Kōhanga Reo, kindergartens, Montessori, and crèches.

Porirua City is also a great base if you’re planning to study in Wellington with a quick commute on the motorway, or by bus or train.

Choose your study option:

“Living and studying in Porirua is thoroughly enjoyable, I love interacting in such a diverse community while studying and connecting with many individuals in the heart of Porirua City.” – Georgia Comeskey, Whitireia
