People travel far and wide to enjoy the Arena Aquatic Centre at Te Rauparaha Arena. It’s not just a pool – it’s an entertainment zone!
Arena Aquatics has a 25m, seven-lane, heated swimming pool, free-form wave pool, toddlers pool, two spa pools, sauna, steam room, hydroslide, ‘lazy river’, and inflatables for the kids on special occasions. We run aquatic exercise programmes and aqua jogging is very popular. We have a pool hoist available, operated by staff, and an aquatic wheelchair – ensuring people of all abilities can enjoy the water.
There's also multiple changing room options (separate male, female, and family rooms and an easy access room).
Throughout the year Te Rauparaha Arena hold pool parties, there's something for everyone, big kids to little kids. Fun and games in the pool, at Arena Aquatics, prizes, games and heaps of fun! Keep a look out on their Facebook page for the next pool party.
Cannons Creek pool is a classic community pool open to the public 7 days a week. It's the base of Dash Swim School, perfect for young or old to learn to swim at 25m long, 1m deep and a constant temperature of 30°C.
Need a little more encouragement to get the family togged up? How about free swim sessions in the weekends? Saturdays from 2 to 4 pm, and Sundays from 1 to 4 pm (if not booked for birthdays or private hire).
