You can search our burial and cremation records for our three public cemeteries, Whenua Tapu, Porirua Cemetery, and Pāuatahanui Burial Ground.
Burial records date from 1975 for Whenua Tapu, 1895 for Porirua Cemetery, and 1850 for Pāuatahanui Burial Ground.
Whenua Tapu gives you the option of burial or cremation. Porirua and Pāuatahanui cemeteries are available for second internments and ashes internments, only into existing plots.
You can hire the Whenua Tapu Crematorium Chapel for a funeral service. There are also many local funeral directors available to assist you. We can also help you to arrange a cremation or burial without a funeral director.
