Opened in 1981 and designed by famous NZ architect Friedrich Eisenhofer, our chapel and crematorium was specially designed to be a place of remembrance and respect to hold services for our loved ones and provide an essential service to the community. The building incorporates large windows and a memorial courtyard which ties in the surrounding native bush into view of the building.
The original cremator was replaced and the building lovingly refurbished and strengthened in 2021, our new modern crematorium still incorporates the beautifully designed building, but with modern amenities and crematorium space to cater our services to all cultures in our community. Our new cremator runs cleanly and efficiently and meets all modern emissions testing.
Seating up to 120, and with standing space for up to 150 we can accommodate most large funerals, with a modern kitchenette for caterers to use and provide catering after the service. We have upgraded our chapel to incorporate a modern AV system with livestreaming and service recoding functions. There is parking space for up to 35 vehicles on site.
