Porirua is set to move to the sights and sounds of the Pacific as the city gathers to celebrate Cook Islands Language Week.
Between Sunday 4 August and Saturday 10 August Porirua City Council will be holding a host of special events to promote the rich culture and heritage of the Cook Islands.
The week of events will kick of at 8am on Monday 5 August with a flag raising at Te Rauparaha Park, where we will sing the Cook Islands national anthem, followed by light refreshments at the Ministry for Pacific Peoples office at 12 Hagley Street.
