Want to receive reminders about your house’s rubbish and recycling to your phone? Download the free Antenno app, save your home as one of your places and Antenno will send you a reminder the night before, so you know when to put out your recycling bins.
If you want to make sure you get Antenno alerts in a timely way when you’re away from home, you’ll need to enable the app to use mobile data. You’ll also receive other notifications about things going on around the city and you can opt out of any that you don’t want to keep receiving.
Porirua Mayor Anita Baker says you can also report things that are damaged or need fixing using the Antenno app.
“It’s a really useful way for people in Porirua to let the Council know about something that needs attention using the “Report it” function on the app. It’s quick and easy to do.
“You just select the type of report, describe what the issue is and add the location, so the staff who get the reports can easily assess the size of the problem and whether it needs urgent attention. You can also add up to three photos.”
Antenno is the quickest way to let Council know something needs doing or fixing. The report will go directly to the Council’s Customer Services team (and they’ll keep that information private).
“If something needs immediate attention, please call our Customer Services team on 04 237 5089 (they’re available 24 hours a day, seven days a week). In an emergency, please dial 111,” says Mayor Baker.
Download the app from the App Store or Google Play and save places you care about, such as home, work, or school. Antenno will let you know when something relevant to your chosen place(s) happens or is coming up.
