Consultation is open on a proposal to lower the speed limit on a section of Raiha Street from 70km/h to 50km/h speed limit, to make it consistent with the rest of the street.
The change is proposed for safety reasons, as this stretch of road is close to walking and mountain biking trails, increased numbers of parked cars and new housing. Traffic volumes are also set to increase when Transmission Gully opens.
