No need to go trick and treating to get your Halloween kicks this year. Dress up and join us for a great night out for the whole family. We have entertainment, activities and dinner sorted so you can just enjoy the evening in our lovely city.
The Porirua Night Market will take place on Halloween, Thursday 31 October at Te Manawa, our city centre. It will be a frightfully fun night with free movies, face painting and activities to keep the little (and not so little) monsters busy.
Bring blankets, cushions, beanbags or low-backed chairs and find a comfy spot to enjoy free outdoor screenings of the Transylvania 1 and Transylvania 2 animated movies, starting at 5pm. To add to the fun FizzBang will be selling candy floss in a wide range of flavours.
Don’t slave in the kitchen like a zombie on Halloween. The Wellington Food Truck Collective will be on hand, selling a mix of cuisines from almost 10 food trucks, catering for a wide selection of tastes. If you’re in the mood for nachos, dumplings or burgers with a side order of ghost chips – you’ll find these and more! The food trucks will be selling yummy kai to satisfy even monster appetites from 5.30pm onwards.
We have free face painting to help your little critters complete their Halloween look. From butterflies to scary spiders, our face paint artists will magically transform them.
Bunnings will be on hand to run free craft activities for young ones (and the young at heart) and there will be plenty to do.
We’ll have spot prizes from Pirates Cove Adventure Golf for the best Halloween costumes, so get creative and join us for a fun night out.
The Halloween Night Market will run from 5 to 8.30pm at Te Manawa, Cobham Court. We look forward to seeing you there!
