Children’s Day in Porirua is back! On Sunday, 2 March, at Ngāti Toa Domain, from 11am–3pm, there is a fantastic day of fun planned for kids of all ages. Hope to see you there!
The theme for the day is all things heroic – this could be everyday heroes, superheroes or community heroes, and will hopefully inspire our heroes of tomorrow.

There are limited car parking spaces at Ngāti Toa Domain.
You can check out public transport, see Metlink for times for the bus or train.
We have a wide range of free activities to keep children of all ages entertained from 11am to 3pm.
There are heaps of cool prizes up for grabs – from pool passes to emergency service toys. Dress up as your favourite hero.
Some of our local heroes, like emergency services, Plunket, Bee Healthy, Ora Toa, surf lifesavers and Predator Free, will be around on the day for you to say hello to.
Local dance schools will display their skills.
Soooo many inflatables. There will be an obstacle course, bouncy castles, inflatable sports arcade and the big blue slide.
We have a dedicated preschool area for our little ones, which has Council kindy gym instructors, a baby bouncer, soft play area and bubble house
Porirua City play coordinator will be onsite to encourage play with giant games and activities
There will be a colouring station available for tamariki.
Climate heroes Nonstop Solutions will be showing off their waste minimisation tips and tricks.
