Small remnant of kanuka-dominated forest in reserve alongside Acheron Road, Camborne.

Many emergent introduced trees including pines, gums, wattle, flowering cherry, pohutukawa and Norfolk Island pine. 

Revegetated every year since 2006.

Outcomes sought
  1. Protect the significant natural forest values, to achieve a healthy ecosystem, through animal and weed pest control and continued active revegetation.

  2. Naturalise the stream form as funding opportunities allow, increasing the planted riparian area for stream shade and erosion control.

  3. Provide opportunities for informal play and kickabout by safeguarding the open grassy spaces, and through the provision of pathways and appropriate play facilities.

  4. Maintain commuter connections provided by reserve pathways.
