Reserves management

We know how much you love our wonderful parks, maunga and reserves. We need to care for these places so that future generations will also be able to play and to enjoy our heritage.

The Porirua City Reserves Management Plan sets out how we intend to develop, maintain and protect our reserves. These include neighbourhood parks and sports grounds, bush and open spaces.

The plan sets out policies that guide the protection of natural resources, heritage and recreational opportunities for the community - so our reserves can be enjoyed now and in the future. The Plan is required under the Reserves Act 1977.
