Our vision is that Porirua City is a great place to live, work, and raise a family. To achieve this we have identified community outcomes for our city and the strategic priorities we’ll focus on to work towards achieving those outcomes.
The strategic priorities are the things we are focusing on in this LTP. As the needs of our city and the role of Council changes, so will our priorities.
As part of developing the draft Long-term Plan 2024-54 Council revised and endorsed the strategic priorities. They will be formally adopted by Council as part of adopting the Long-term Plan 2024-54 in June 2024:
The community outcomes are long-term goals for our city. They reflect the four aspects of well-being: social, cultural, environmental, and economic. The role of Council is to provide services to our community and to advocate on topics that matter on our communities behalf. Whether we can directly influence these outcomes or not, as advocates for our community we will seek to improve all aspects of well-being in our city.
