Natural values

100 (E1A1) Mahinoa Stream runs along northwest corner. Riparian vegetation and remnant kanuka forest around the lower reaches.

Recreation values

Field sports, hockey.

The pavilion, hockey turf, training strip and most of the #3 field are sited on this reserve, the other sports fields being on Mana College land.

This is a Crown Derived Reserve.

Outcomes sought
  1. Safeguard the natural values of the stream and surroundings by enabling natural regeneration and weed control, and through planting as opportunities arise.

  2. Continue to provide active sports opportunities through providing sports fields. Enable development of appropriate sports facilities suitable for land with liquefaction risk.

  3. Continue partnership with Mana College to provide sports fields.
