Anzac Day services in Porirua 2019

Peace Memorial Anzac Day

The Peace Memorial on the edge of Te Rauparaha Park is a focus point for Porirua's Anzac Day civic service.

The list of Porirua City services on 25 April, 2019, is as follows:

Porirua City civic service

The civic service is held at the Peace Memorial on Te Rauparaha Park at 9am. All welcome.

Pukerua Bay

A service is held at the Pukerua Bay Community hall at 11am, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at Whenua Tapu Cemetery at 12 noon.

Titahi Bay

The Parade will form up at the Titahi Bay Surf Life Saving Club, with the main Dawn Service conducted at 6am at the north end of Titahi Bay Beach, near the old gun emplacement, on the access road to the beach from Bay Drive.

Public are welcome to join the parade or assemble for the service at the north end of Titahi Bay Beach.

The event will include cannon fire from top of Terrace Road.

In the case of bad weather, the event will be moved to the Titahi Bay RSA.

For the civic service, please assemble at 10.15am at the RSA on Main Rd, for a march to the Whitehouse Rd Cenotaph for wreath-laying at 10.30am.


A memorial service is held in St Alban's Church, commencing at 10.15am. After the service the wreath-laying is conducted at the suburb's war memorial.


A service is held at the Takapūwāhia Marae from 10.30am.

Porirua RSA

A dawn service is held at the RSA, McKillop St, starting at 6am.
