Porirua City Council will be closing its Contact Centre on Tuesday afternoon to allow staff to mourn the death of much-loved former staff member Paul MacGregor.
Paul, who was with the council for 28 years, was regarded by many as the friendly face of the council, being one of the first people the public saw when they visited our Customer Service Centre.
Paul passed away in the early hours of Friday morning, and to allow his colleagues to mourn his passing the front counter will be closed from 1pm and 2pm to allow them to attend his funeral.
