Traffic monitoring in place at Titahi Bay Beach

Titahi Bay1.jpg

This week a security guard has taken up a post at the south end of Titahi Bay Beach to ensure the gate to the beach and boatsheds remains closed.

We’ve been having problems with the gate being left open or unlocked, allowing vehicles to get onto the beach when they shouldn’t be there. The guard will be in place during December and January while we wait for a recently ordered automatic gate to be installed.

There will be more information about the gate and how it will operate in January before it is operational. Beach kaitiaki will also be back on the beach in the coming weeks, beginning their summer posting.

If you see any vehicles that you believe should not be on the beach, please call Porirua City Council enquiries on 04 237 5089 or email [email protected].
