My principal place of residence is in the Porirua City Council area. I am also standing for the Western/Titahi Rangituhi Porirua ki te uru Ward.
After serving the past three years as Western Ward Councillor I've learned well the workings of council, what we aspire to and what we can achieve on a budget sustained by a very small ratepayer base. I believe it stands me in good stead to serve our city well as your mayor
My wife Christine and I are long-time Titahi Bay residents. Our six children are grown up and all have families around Porirua City.
A team player, I am approachable and make myself available to all.
I stand for maintaining the strict hold council has had on rates rises in the face of huge challenges and the exponential growth surge we are on the brink of. All the while preparing for the effects of climate change while working to clean up our harbour and increase the resilience of our infrastructure.
