Summer events offer something for everyone
There's fun for the whole whānau with family favourites, Battle Hill Farm Day, Eat, Drink & Be Crafty and the community snorkel day back in Porirua this summer.
During Wellington Anniversary weekend, great music is front and centre with the Summer Concert Series at Aotea Lagoon featuring The Blueprint, The Satisfactions, The Shenanigans and Shaun Preston. Parking is available at the police college from 4.30pm before each concert.
Then gather your whānau to celebrate Waitangi Day at Te Rauparaha Park and Pātaka. There’ll be live music from House of Shem and more, tasty kai and lots of fun activities. You can even paddle a waka on Te Awarua-o-Porirua Harbour.
Porirua City Libraries Imagine This! 2023-2024 festival programme is back with a huge variety of in-library events and spot prizes on offer!
And all you sports lovers be sure to lock in the Wellington Phoenix FC at Porirua Park.

We all know summer can throw a few crazy weather days our way, but, don’t worry, we’ve got loads of fun indoor options too.
Head to the pool, catch a movie, explore a museum or gallery, or take the little ones to burn off some energy at indoor amusement playgrounds where they can bounce and climb.
