We're letting you know which tracks and walkways are closed or have restricted access.

COVID-19 Updates

13 May 2020 - Walking tracks in Porirua are now open. Please visit the COVID-19 pandemic page for the latest information on Porirua facilities and services during the COVID-19 Pandemic.


Here's a list of the walkways and tracks that are closed or have restricted access. Please respect the warning signs and do not put yourself in danger.

Endeavour Walkway Walkway open, no work planned.
Champion Street entrance to Bothamley Park Resurfacing in April complete, walkway open.
Whitby Walkway The Mainsail Track (between Adventure Dr and The Mainsail) is to close between 16 September and 16 December 2019 as there is a realignment to improve its accessibility.
Te Ara Tawa Shared Path Between Kenepuru & Porirua – walkway open.
Paremata, Ivey Bay to Kahu Road Open - but caution advised.
