Track status

We're letting you know which tracks and walkways are closed or have restricted access.

Here's a list of the walkways and tracks that are closed or have restricted access. Please respect the warning signs and do not put yourself in danger.

Walkway or track Status
Aotea Lagoon pathway Sections of the pathway around Aotea Lagoon will be closed as work is undertaken by contractors to renew some sections of pavement surface. Work will start Monday 25 June and take 2 weeks
Te Ara Utiwai Te Ara Utiwai is closed for repair until at least mid-August after a prolonged period of heavy rain has turned the track into mud in a number of places.
Te Ara Tawa Shared Path Between Kenepuru & Porirua – open, but may close intermittently for future construction works. The path will be closed from 23 July for Transmission Gully works.
Paremata, Ivey Bay to Kahu Road Open - but caution advised while repairs to a major slip are carried out.
Bothamley Park works Carrus are starting on bringing down a storm water pipe from the new Aotea subdivision to the area in the park opposite the Champion St carpark gate. It will then be piped to the old oxbow slightly downstream and then pipes will be placed under the path so it flows to the stream. As a result this area has been fenced off to the public during construction works.
Wgtn Water are working at various sites along the Kenepuru Stream over the new few months. This work is altering the stream bank to protect the sewer pipe from the stream. Contractors started on 15 January in Mepham Place and will work their way up the stream. At times areas around the construction works will need to be closed off to the public. This will mainly affect areas downstream of the parks Champion Street carpark.
Camborne Walkway The upgrade to this walkway is now complete but contractors may still be around tidying up over the next few weeks, so take care.
