Reserve Management Plan Review

Porirua City Council is reviewing Part Five of its Reserve Management Plan to identify values and management outcomes for some of the city’s parks and reserves.   

This is a statutory process that we run under the Reserves Act 1977.  As part of this process we asked for your opinions and comments on the draft outcomes for the following reserves between 8 April and 5pm May 6 2019.

Existing reserves

• Cardiff and Waitangirua Farm (Cannons Creek)
• Hampshire Reserve (Cannons Creek)
• Bedford Reserve (Cannons Creek)

New reserves

• Wayfinder Park (Cnr of Navigation Drive and Schooner Drive, Whitby)
• Duck Creek Wai-O-Hata Reserve (Whitby)
• Tāmanga a Kohu Reserve (Aotea)
• Jenny Brash Reserve (Aotea)
• Okowai Lagoon Reserve (Aotea)
• Steyne Ave Park (Plimmerton)
• Kokako Reserve (Kenepuru)
• Hokioi Park (Kenepuru)

The draft outcomes and information about the proposed changes to the Reserves Management Plan is available to download, to collect from our front counter at 16 Cobham Court, or Porirua City Library, or by contacting the Resource Planner (Parks).
