It's been an honour to serve as a Labour councillor. I've made a record of speaking up on behalf of people in my community, bringing forward alternatives and sometimes disagreeing with my colleagues, because the job's not about me, but you. Every decision impacts people's lives, both today and in the future.
There's still a lot to do. The challenges we face are significant, yet the solutions are within our communities. Porirua is the kaleidoscope city: our strength comes from the weaving of cultures and languages, from our tāngata whenua, to the pacific ring, and beyond.
