The Titahi Bay Golf Club (Gloaming Hill Road, Titahi Bay) is a beautiful, yet somewhat challenging, links course that overlooks Mana Island. The course is open seven days a week and welcomes green fee players. When you play on Titahi Bay Golf Course you’ll be joining the likes of Lynnette Brooky (New Zealand Female Golfer of the Year 2004) and US Open Champion Michael Campbell (New Zealand Male Golfer of the Year 2006) who both walked the course.
To the north you’ll find the Pāuatahanui Golf Club (322B Paekākāriki Hill Rd), which has a nine-hole course that is perfect for learning to golf. Stunning bush land surrounds the course offering a picturesque experience.
Head east and you’ll come across Judgeford Golf Club (328 Paremata Haywards Road), which is touted as “the friendliest club in Wellington”. The 18-hole course follows the area’s natural contours and includes a stream and lake, along with sand bunkers. The course is set across both sides of the Paremata Haywards Road with an underground walkway in between. So what are you waiting for? Pick up your clubs and head to Porirua.
